FAQ
What’s the difference between ground and whole bean?
Whole bean coffee stays fresh longer because less surface area is exposed to air. Grind it right before brewing for the best cup. If you don’t have a grinder, ground works well — just let us know your preference at checkout.
How fresh is your coffee?
Our coffee is roasted in Colombia and shipped to the US within one week of roasting. By the time it arrives at your door, it’s far fresher than anything on a grocery store shelf — which is typically roasted three to six months before you buy it.
What is the washed process?
After picking, coffee cherries have to be processed to remove the fruit. The washed method removes the fruit immediately, then ferments the bean in clean water for 24–36 hours before drying. The result is a cleaner, brighter cup where the character of the bean comes through clearly — which is why our coffee tastes like citrus and dark chocolate, not a generic roast.
Where does your coffee come from?
Our beans come from two family farms in Caldas, Colombia — La Lucia and La Esperanza, in the heart of the Coffee Triangle. Both farms have been in our family for over 50 years. Luis and Juan import directly, which means no middlemen and full control over quality from harvest to your door.
How should I store my coffee?
Store in an airtight container in the fridge, away from light. Use within 3–4 weeks of opening for best flavor.
